PCB Design and Fabrication Workshop

Offered by Physitech Group

PCB Design and Fabrication Workshop

A two-day hands-on workshop where students design, etch and solder their own printed circuit board, from schematic capture to the finished board.

This workshop gives Electronics students practical experience of the full PCB workflow: capturing a schematic, converting it to a board layout, and then making the physical board. Students work on a simple circuit such as a portable bench-top variable power supply, an LDR based automatic night LED or a 555 based LED flasher.

Workshop benefits

  • Practical, hands-on experience for Electronics students
  • Turns theoretical knowledge into practical application
  • Know-how of the PCB manufacturing process
