Internet of Things (IoT) Workshop with Arduino Uno and Raspberry Pi
Offered by Physitech Group
A three-day hands-on IoT workshop covering sensors, wireless connectivity and cloud dashboards, built on Arduino Uno and Raspberry Pi.
The Internet of Things connects the real, digital and virtual worlds, creating smart environments that improve energy use, transportation, cities and many other sectors. In an IoT system, sensor data such as temperature, motion or acceleration is shown on a graphical interface, web server or mobile application, allowing wireless control of connected devices over the internet.
In this workshop students build working models with Arduino Uno and Raspberry Pi, and finish with a project of their own.
What participants learn
- Work with controllers and different sensors
- Use Arduino Uno and Raspberry Pi
- Interface LEDs, switches and an LCD
- Connect ESP8266 over Wi-Fi to a cloud dashboard
- Interface analog sensors such as an LDR through an ADC
- Interface digital sensors such as DHT11, MQ2 gas, soil moisture and IR sensors
- Switch loads using a relay
